Inspired2Become is proud to announce that two of our athletes, Paul Daniels and Chane Hendricks, were selected to present South Africa at the Junior World Para Athletics Championships! It will take place in Nottwil, Switzerland from 28 July until 5 August 2019.
Chane Hendricks will be competing in the T13 division (athlete with visual impairment) and Paul Daniels will be competing in the T62 division (double amputee). I have been selected to join the event as a team coach.
Unfortunately the National Federation is unable to send the team due to a lack of funding and the responsibility is on the individual to raise the funds needed for World Champs. I2B is doing a fundraiser for both of the athletes and for myself. The cost is R35,000 per person. We need to raise a total of R105,000. Up to date we have already raised R42,500. You can have a look at our promo video here.

We are extremely thankful for each and everyone who has supported us so far. May God bless you!
We are so grateful for the skateboards that Nebula skateboarding made available to be used at the I2B skate clubs. Below is the I2B Bonteheuwel club.
The kids were so happy to unwrap these fresh boards! Below is the I2B Strand club.
Below is the I2B Macassar club.
The clubs started off great this year with many new kids joining:
I2B Bright Lights Skate Club
I2B Cloetesville Skate Club
I2B Strand Skate Club
I2B Gordon’s Bay Skim Club
We had an amazing time in Botswana with the young athletes.
I also shared my testimony with the volleyball girls.
So thankful that my dad came to help the I2B Team put a new rail into the cement floor at Smoothies, home of the I2B Strand Skate Club.
This is what the end product looked like. Thanks to Josh and Remey for also working hard that day.
We partnered with Living Legends and had a training camp for some of the athletes in preparation for Nationals.
On one of the very hot days this summer Dillan and I took some guys to Kogel Bay for a skim.
I visited Vista Nova School to share my story during their assembly period and also joined their athletics day.
Unfortunately Akim from I2B Strand broke his arm on the first day skating the new rail but thankfully he is recovering well.
It was great to spend time at the Alta du Toit School Athletics day!
