Season kick-off
The athletics season started off with loads of events and competitions.

Here I2B athlete, Paul, competed at the Boland League event.

Alta du Toit school took part at the Western Cape trials.

Training Camp
I had the privilege of helping to coach at the Western Cape Elite Junior Development Camp.

Here is the squad at the training camp:

Stellenbosch Unite
I volunteered at Stellenbosch Unite during the national lockdown. They are providing food for 2500 people/families during the 21 day period.

New ways
I did some online coaching through Zoom during the lockdown!

I also had a date night with Jenni through Zoom 🙂

The I2B Skatepark expansion

Below is a drawing of the dream we had since the beginning of 2016 to make the skatepark more family friendly.

We finally raised enough support in 2019 to start the project. At the beginning of December we started moving the fence and leveling the ground.

We used old quarter pipe frames that we flipped upside down. We then placed these frames on poles and tied some shading nets to it. We also bought recycled plastic wooden benches. The next steps would be to lay concrete and build a non-permanent shop front/entrance.

Thank you to everyone who supported us to get this far. We are at a point where we need more support to be able to finish the project. Please let us know if you would like to get involved in any way.

I2B clubs feedback before lockdown
We had the first I2B/CS Somerset West club meeting under the new shading.

We are proud of coach Wayden from I2B Kleinvlei for getting the youngsters from his community on skates.

Thanks to coach Moose, all the volunteers and Son Surf Strand Surf School for keeping the I2B Strand Surf Club so stoked.

We are also proud of all our other coaches and appreciate you all!

Coronavirus impact
The kids were very sad that we had to put the club sessions on hold and that the skatepark had to be closed. Please pray for health, protection and provision for them and their families.

Thank you to everyone who are still supporting us during this uncertain time.

CSA – Christian Skaters and Skimmers Africa by Chris

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak the Ultimate X 2020 show had to be postponed. This is one of the biggest action sports festivals in Africa.

Thanks to the team members from CS Cape Town and CS Mpumalanga for being willing to serve at the event. As you can see below, the setup was close to being completed when the news came that all events had to be cancelled.

We trust and pray that God will make all of this work out for the good. Please stay safe and let’s keep praying for one another.

May you have a very special Easter Weekend!

Let’s all celebrate what JESUS did for us!
